Falconry, a game that utilizes feathered creatures of prey in chasing games, is extremely old. Sadly, it comes at the expense of thousands of hawks that are slaughtered during the unlawful natural life exchange.
Around eight distinct types of hawks are found in Pakistan.
Kamran Khan Yousufzai, an energetic falconer from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has helped the Customs specialists control the unlawful exchange of and recuperate many held onto hawks. A sneaking offer including 70 birds of prey was thwarted by the specialists three years back.
Kamran clarifies that there is a popularity in the Gulf district for birds of prey found in Pakistan, where a solitary hawk can be sold for as high as Rs4 million.
